TRAIL END TRACKERS - that's the name of the youth bird watching program sponsored in part by Trail End, Science Kids and the Audubon Society. Since their first outing in December 2014, the kids spotted several species of birds:


  • Sharp-shinned Hawk
  • Red-tailed Hawk
  • Rough-legged Hawk
  • American Crow
  • Raven
  • Mallard
  • Northern Flicker
  • Downy Woodpecker
  • Black-capped Chickadee
  • Mountain Chickadee
  • Red-breasted Nuthatch
  • Brown Creeper
  • House Finch
  • Rock Dove
  • ​Great Horned Owl


Birding visits are made to Trail End every two weeks or so, weather permitting.
